Senior Anya Houston has always been passionate about writing. Whether in school or in her free time, she enjoys creating stories. 

In addition to writing Anya spends her time participating in a variety of activities. Some examples include piano, cross country, and volunteering. 

Anya’s favorite source of news is The New York Times. “I like keeping myself informed on world events and learning from a variety of perspectives,” said Houston.

This is Anya’s fourth year on The Claw’s staff. She enjoys being able to find new opportunities and connect to the student body through journalism. Anya looks forward to continuing learning as a staff member and helping to mentor new journalism participants.
