Kiera Roux (she/her), Staff Artist
Kiera Roux is a 1st-year Journalism student and senior at Campolindo. She wishes to pursue a career in the social sciences, analyzing and understanding the interactions between people and society. “In journalism, I hope to understand new perspectives and to challenge biases – with both art and visual media,” says Roux.
Roux has taken multiple art courses and is a passionate member of the Intuitive Writers Project, a group of high school students discussing and writing social critiques. She is also a writing tutor and board member of the non-profit Friendly Flash Fiction, started by students at Campolindo.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, exploring, painting, and stargazing. An existentialist at heart, she hopes to create pieces for The Claw that make people question their own perspective.
