For my long-term project, I decided to create a collage representing many of the different visual media elements the New York Times incorporates into its articles. As a visual media artist for The Claw and New York Times subscriber, I thought that this would be an impactful project for me to learn about how visual media can attract people to an article. In my collage, I used the pieces that have drawn my attention over the past few months. The background of the collage is an old headline from when we 1st landed on the moon in 1969 to exemplify the power behind the news and all that it has captured for societies to stay informed.
