Ollie Axelrod (he/him), Staff Writer

Senior Ollie Axelrod has known how to speak English since he was a baby and is “very proficient” in reading and writing, inspiring him to unleash his passion as a staff writer for The Claw. Axelrod has also been an intern at the Asian Art Museum for 3 years, where he creates activities to promote art and learning to the youth.

Axelrod lived in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maryland before settling into Moraga. He has fond memories of taking the ferry to Boston while living in Massachusetts and have been fascinated by marine life ever since. Axelrod also attended theater classes as a child. One of his most notable performances is his role as the rain in Singing in the Rain, continuing the aquatic theme. Correspondingly, their post-high school plans include being cryogenically frozen.
