Alex Gonzales (she/her), Staff Illustrator

Alex Gonzales is a senior and a 1st year journalism student on the Art Staff. Gonzales grew up in Montclair before moving to Lafayette. “I joined journalism because I wanted to be able to express my opinions through art to a wider audience,” Gonzales said. In her free time, Gonzales paints, draws, enjoys cooking new dishes, and tutors others.

Gonzales enjoys traveling with her family abroad. While abroad, she’s attended museums and has a fascination with the various art styles in different countries and cultures around the world.

Passionate about social causes and awareness, Gonzales hopes her art reflects news that really matters. She hopes to gain a new perspective and to have a more open mind about the perspectives and opinions of others whilst taking Journalism.
