Freshman Venus Senanayake has lived in Moraga for 5 years. Prior to moving here when she was 9, she lived in Fremont, Concord, and Walnut Creek.
Senanayake enjoys playing volleyball and tennis as hobbies. For a long time she was also into drawing, specifically nature and cartoons. However, now, Senanayake enjoys writing much more.
Senanayake said, “I haven’t been writing for that long but I still really like [it].” This newfound passion led her to choose journalism as an elective. 1 fun fact about Senanayake is that she used to do martial arts for 5 years, but is now on a break. This is Senanayake's 1st year in journalism and she is very excited to write and draw!
