Freshman Kylie Choi enjoys playing volleyball and writing fiction.
“I just started writing stories for fun,” said Choi. “I like making up another world and environment.”
Her love for writing has grown out of her passion for reading. “I love to read, and it’s super fun to enter a whole new world and pretend that you’re living the life of the character,” she explained.
Choi also likes to play volleyball; she started playing club volleyball when she was 10 years old and is excited to join Campolindo’s team this year. “I just like doing sports and being part of a team. I think it’s super fun when you complete what you wanted to do and set up expectations and finish them,” Choi said.
Choi’s additional interests include running, creating short films, and volunteering at Merriewood, an after-school daycare for elementary school students. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career related to creative writing.
