Sophomore Elliot Frick spends his free time around cars. He loves fixing them up and hopes to 1 day drive around his dream car, a 1997 Mazda Miata. Frick is a multi-sport athlete at Campo, playing linebacker for the JV football team and back row. He aspires to be a sports writer and photographer for The Claw.

When Frick was 5 years old he made the move from Oakland to Lafayette and has lived there ever since. Frick loves all his teachers, but by far he said his favorite this year is geometry teacher Kevin Macy. “His teaching style is great and he’s a great football coach,” he said.

Frick also tried playing lacrosse for the 1st time last year. He was a starting attack on the JV team. Although the team didn’t win a single game last year, Frick said he had a lot of fun trying the sport out.

Frick likes to put himself out there and try new things. It is his 1st year in Journalism; he tried it because he “loves to take photos” and believes “[his] photos should be a part of something larger, like The Claw.” Frick is excited to be a journalist and photographer and he can’t wait to publish his 1st piece.
