The boys’ varsity basketball team beat Las Lomas on Friday, February 8. The final score of 75-39 marks the largest victory margin for this season, according to stats gathered by Maxpreps.com.

Campo had an early lead, though Las Lomas made a minor surge.

The Cougars are already guaranteed a trip to North Coast Section tournament, with an overall record of 17-7 and a 7-3 record in the Diablo Valley Foothill Athletic League.

Junior Walter Brennan said, “We had an idea that we were going to state, tried not to think ahead too much and focus on each game.”

The team is looking to better their post season run of last year, when they got knocked out of the playoffs by Bishop O’Dowd High School.

The NCS tournament bracket will be determined over the weekend. “Once we know we we’re playing, we’ll get ready. It’s just continuing the energy in practice,” said Brennan.

Campolindo has historically done well, reaching NCS nearly every year since the 2004-2005 season, according to Maxpreps.
