Senior Matthew VonderBrink, 17, decided to join Journalism because of his interest in photography. Last year, VonderBrink “started taking photos, just for fun at JV football games” and got really positive feedback from people. He then decided that he wanted to do this for a class, and journalism was that class. It is his first year in journalism, and is his favorite class so far because he gets to have more creative freedom compared to his other classes.
VonderBrink was born in Walnut Creek, California and some of his hobbies include lacrosse and cooking. Cooking is something he recently started doing and immediately enjoyed it. VonderBrink has been on the lacrosse team all four years of highschool. His favorite celebrity is Drake because he seems cool and really friendly towards everyone and his dream job is to create a real estate firm or be high up in a well known real estate firm.
