The varsity boys basketball squad came up a winner against Piner in the 1st round NCS playoff game at home on February 24. The Cougars dominated to a 58-34 final score.

“We’re trying to send a message early to the teams we have to play that we’re here to do business and take out teams early, and finish off strong really,” said senior Austin Clarke.

His squad led by a score of 33-17 at halftime. “It’s exciting. I know for me to hear the lasting shot, especially in the 4th quarter you know to seal the deal. And that’s like the end of the game, or even third quarter,” said senior Will Hicks.
