The varsity boys’ tennis team comes into the 2016 spring season with a young but motivated squad. The team returns key players like sophomore Arthur Goldblatt, senior Jacob Goldsmith and junior Jake Oxendine.

“I think this upcoming season will be great because we have a good team with a bunch of older guys and some really good new guys. I think we had a couple really good freshmen last year like Arthur who were really good and made varsity,” said Oxendine.

The team hopes to finish among the league’s top three and qualify for the North Coast Section tournament.

“We have a lot of new players this year, so we’ll see how quickly the doubles teams can come together. Some new coaches will hopefully help our guys exceed expectations,” said Petreas.
