The 2015-2016 wrestling team roster shows promise, according to second year head coach Sam Sotelo. “We had a lot of kids coming out so that seems good. We’re feeling pretty optimistic about the season. We also have had quite a few kids returning,” he said.

The team returns key grapplers like juniors Avery Novick, John Monasevich, Sean Flannelly, and Tomas Martinho.  Nevertheless, their coach is cautious in his assessment so far.

“We’re in kind of a rebuilding process. This is my first full year as the head coach. We got a great turnout, and a lot of younger guys. We want to come in the top 2 in the league and top 5 in North Coast,” said Soltelo.
