Varsity football defeated the Alhambra Bulldogs 47-20 to highlight the Homecoming evening of Friday, October 9.

The Cougars jumped out to a 37-7 in the first half, then added a field goal and another touchdown in the 4th quarter to close out the game.

Junior quarterback Jacob Westphal completed 8 of 13 passes for 163 yards including a 55 yard bomb to senior Max Flowers. Junior running back Niki Moore had a 70 yard run in the first half and finished with 212 total yards.

The Campolindo defense had the Alhambra offense under intense pressure throughout the entire game and never allowed them to get into a rhythm. The Bulldogs did most of their scoring in “garbage time” when the Cougars put in their second stringers.

With the victory, Campolindo improves to 6-1 on the season and Alhambra falls to 3-3. The Cougars will visit Las Lomas on Friday, September 16.
