Varsity football defeated Dublin 14-10 on Friday night, after rallying from a 2nd half deficit.

The Cougars jumped out to an early lead in the 1st half on a 40 yard run by junior Matthew Rinquist, but Dublin responded by running a fumble 75 yards for a touchdown.

Rinquist finished with 95 yards rushing and 3 catches for 64 yards.

The Gaels took the lead shortly after halftime on a 20 yard field goal.

However, Campolindo bounced back with a long drive that ended in a 1 yard touchdown run by junior Brandon Boccobo.  The score put the Cougars ahead for good.

A 90 yard drive, which included a 4th down conversion, helped Campolindo run out the clock. Quarterback Jacob Westphal kneeled to the ground on the final play of the game. He finished with 219 total passing yards.

Junior linebacker Joey Berzins added a 9 yard interception in the second half as well.

Campolindo improved to 4-1 on the season while Dublin fell to 4-1.
