During Halloween week leadership came up with fun and creative spirit days where students could dress up in cute fall and halloween inspired outfits.
Social affairs board member senior Maddie Cooper helped choose the themes for the Halloween spirit week. When selecting spirit week themes and days, social affairs board members try to find themes that are not too easy and not too hard for students to follow while still basing them off the main event of the week. Cooper really enjoyed the pumpkin patch day where it was both fun and creative.
Senior McKenzie Kahn was very spirited on the days leading up to Halloween. She enjoys dressing up for spirit days because they give her an opportunity to wear clothes and express herself in ways she doesn’t usually get to. She also enjoys dressing up because “It’s really fun to match with my friend, Becca. We always do a duo day or costume.” So far this year, Kahn enjoyed the PJ day a lot because she enjoys dressing comfortably for school. She thinks future career day could be interesting.
Sophomore Chloe Cooper enjoys dressing up for spirit days because she thinks it’s fun to be part of the culture and community. Cooper likes jersey days because she feels like many people participate in them and she enjoys seeing what teams people support. She thinks it would be fun and cool to see a sport spirit day where people can dress up as their sport.
Spirit weeks are great ways to express creativity and experiment with different clothes that students might not typically wear. Students enjoy participating in these weeks and leadership enjoys creating fun and unique themes for the upcoming holiday.
