The senior class attended its last school dance, themed Old Hollywood, at the Bently Reserve in San Francisco on May 21.

Most seniors met at the Moraga Commons to take pictures before arriving at Campolindo to board buses that transported them to the venue.

“We basically picked the theme because Old Hollywood is a classic and the venue went really well with it, so we didn’t have to decorate much, said Senior Class Secretary Beth Evenhuis. “For the centerpieces, we all got together and spray painted old bottles from a restaurant which was fun for us to do all together. Ball went really well, the music was great, and it went smoothly! We are very happy with how it turned out.”

When students entered the front doors of the venue, they were served sparkling cider and asked to pose in front of a “red carpet”-esque backdrop with their date or friends. Then students continued into the heart of the Bently Reserve, where they enjoyed a buffet-style dinner.

At every table the ball committee placed small packets of trivia cards, which asked questions ranging from “What will you miss the most next year?” to questions about old movies.

In addition, there was a screen playing old movies such as Break and Dirty Dancing.

A live band performed during a majority of the dance, with DJ Tony Tone filling in during their breaks.

“The band was one of my favorite parts of ball,” said Ben Conley, Senior Class Vice President. “Kent, the guitarist, awoke a dragon within me that I didn’t know I had. I danced almost the whole time with my friends.”

During the last song, which was “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey, confetti fell from the ceiling.

“It surpassed all my expectations,” said senior Meg Newton.
