The first meeting of the Campolindo Parent Book Club is scheduled to be held in the Campolindo library at 7 pm on Thursday, January 28.

“Linda O’Brien from the Campo Parent Club is in charge and will be facilitating discussion alongside some the Campo staff,” said principal John Walker. The club will be reading the book Where You Go is Not Who You’ll Be: an Antidote to the College Admissions Mania by Frank Bruni.

Lead counselor Jake Donohoe and Joan Batcheller from the College and Career Center will join O’Brien in leading the discussion. “The Parent Book Club is a new idea that I came up with to help disseminate information to the parent community,” said O’Brien.

The second meeting will be on Tuesday, March 22 and will be centered around the book How to Raise an Adult: Break Free of the Overparenting Trap and Prepare Your Kid for Success by Julie Lythcott-Haims.
