As winter and festivities arrive, students begin looking forward to their time off of school and holiday spirit. They anticipate all the activities and traditions they can participate in during winter.
Sophomore Maddi Powell appreciates the holiday spirit and festive vibes winter brings. Every year, her family makes holiday cookies to bring to their neighbors. She also likes watching holiday movies, saying, “I like to watch Christmas movies, especially Elf and Home Alone.” She also has fun going to her grandmother’s house and celebrating Christmas with family.
Junior Angele Tseng loves the coziness and all the decorations like the lights that are put up in Lafayette. Her family enjoyed going to Las Vegas during the winter in the past. Tseng said, “I love going ice skating. I’m terrible at it but it’s a lot of fun.”
Senior Bobby Silverman enjoys staying at home and bundling up during the cold months. He also likes the fun activities he can do during winter and enjoys the weather. He doesn’t have any traditions, but he had fun doing a secret santa game with his friends. He also enjoys spending time with his family during the break and working out because he doesn’t play a winter sport. He also appreciates celebrating Hanukkah with his family.
Campo students enjoy getting two weeks off to celebrate holidays with family or just hang out with friends and family. They love the fun activities and festivities they can participate in during the winter season, and they cherish the cold weather.
