Campo teachers will be leading two educational trips for students this summer. Spanish teacher Concha Martinez will take a group of her Spanish 5 students to Spain, while Tom and Amanda Renno will take a group on a non-school affiliated trip to the Galapagos Islands.
The former trip, the first of its kind, will take Spanish 5 students from Campolindo, Acalanes, and Miramonte. It will take place in the first few weeks of summer, from June 13th to the 23rd.
“I look forward to this incredible cultural experience.” Martinez said. The trip will take place June 13 to June 23.
Students will spend ten days experiencing Spanish culture firsthand, sightseeing, shopping, and riding trains through the countryside. The group will visit many Spanish cities, amoung them Madrid, Valencia, and Barcelona.
Although unaffiliated with the school, students are also buzzing about the newest trip being led by the Rennos. Due to its lack of affiliation with the school, anyone is allowed to take part. The Rennos, and math teacher Petro Petreas, will take students on a ten day trip to the Galapagos Islands. The trip will include “visiting the Darwin Research Center to see the big tortoises, snorkeling with the fish and penguins, and even hiking a volcano,” said Amanda Renno.
