It’s Written in the Stars: Your October Horoscope
As October approaches, it’s the best time for new beginnings. Scorpio season brings plenty of balance into the foundations of personal and professional life through communication between the mind and spirit. With the end of three retrogrades, this month is full of celebrations.
Aries (March 21 – April 19): Make time for yourself. The ruling planet, Mars, goes into retrograde this month, so be careful with relationships of the past. The start of October encourages you to undergo a spiritual and physical transformation, so try something new like wearing a daring costume for Halloween.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20): The ending of the Saturn retrograde will boost confidence, especially with the full moon in Aries. As Scorpio season begins, you may feel stressed out, so remember to take breaks. Happiness is a decision and not something anyone else can make happen for you.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Mercury retrograde ends this month. Since Mercury is the ruling planet of Gemini, October will bring an abundance of peace into your life. Allow yourself to be emotional, and don’t get caught up in drama. Use the full moon and solar eclipse to rest this month.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22): The transformative planet Pluto goes direct in October. Welcome new people and feelings into your life. The full moon in Aries will bring emotional freedom, and an abundance of valuable insight into life.
Leo (July 23 – August 22): The ruling planet of Leo is the sun. This means that you will be extra susceptible to dramatic changes. Opt to spend this month doing something low-key with friends and family instead of going out.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22): Because 3 planets end their retrograde this month, one of them being Virgo, you will feel a sense of confidence overcome you this month. Feel free to go big this month. Be attentive to the people around you; the solar eclipse in Scorpio could lead to drama.
Libra (September 23 – October 21): As Libra season ends and Scorpio season begins, check in with yourself and honor your own needs. The start of Mars retrograde can be a bit nerve wracking, but it’ll allow you to reconnect with Venus, your ruling planet. This can help with struggling relationships.
Scorpio (October 22 – November 21): It’s Scorpio season! Scorpio is associated with mystery and darkness, so let this year allow you to lean into the light and celebrate your birthday with joy and the people you love. Because the solar eclipse is in Scorpio, try not to get weighed down by the negativity that may be around you.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21): The solar eclipse being in Scorpio is a sign to have fun with friends, especially during Halloween. Work on setting boundaries with friends and family in order to balance your personal and social life. Doing so can make your life happier and healthier.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19): Capricorn’s ruling planet, Saturn, goes direct this month, which can help you de-stress. Capricorns have the tendency to overwork themselves, so try to have as much fun as you can before Mars goes retrograde, which may leave you feeling tired at the end of the month.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18): October brings plenty of chances to remind the world why you are you. Halloween is a great time to show off your uniqueness in an extravagant costume. The retrograde in Pluto may make you feel lonely at first, so surround yourself with a community of supportive friends and family to help you through what may be a difficult time.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20): Since Mercury ends its retrograde, you must go and have any necessary conversations you’ve been avoiding this past September. Running away from problems is never the answer. The lucky planet Jupiter blesses Pisces with an abundance of joy this month, but because of Mercury’s retrograde, try to keep things more low-key this month.
