Roam Menu Unique, Space Limited

Burger lovers can satisfy their craving at a new joint recently opened in Lafayette. Roam Artisan Burger has been a hit with the community so far.

Over the weekend, I went to Roam , a 4 star restaurant located on 23 Lafayette Circle, with my friends for dinner.

It is small and has a similar set up to Buckhorn Grill. There is a cashier table where you order and pay. Then you either find a table, sit at the bar, or when it is crowded, which it tends to be, stand. Restaurant goers have their choice of burger style as well as choice of meat: beef, turkey, veggie, bison, and elk.

On my visit there was a long line to order, and there were no empty tables inside, however the service was quite quick.

Waiting to order only took about 5 minutes, and the food was served 5 minutes later.

The burgers are good, but not the best I’ve ever had. It was a little disappointing given long line. I didn’t think that the food was worth the price.

The atmosphere is probably the best part of the joint, and Roam Burger makes its own sodas. I ordered a home-made cola, which was interesting.

The restaurant’s interior is red, with light wood, and black appliance.

My friends and I ate outside since there wasn’t any room inside. I think it would benefit Roam to invest on an outdoor heater.

Roam Burger is a good family restaurant, the the space can be cramped.

It’s worth a visit.
