Miya Iwasaki is a freshman who joined the journalism class because of her passion for English and writing. Born in San Francisco, Miya has lived in California for the majority of her life while also living in Massachusetts for 3 years. Her favorite movie is the Twilight series. Her favorite song is “Stick Season” by Noah Kahan.

Miya is also an avid volleyball player. She loves spending time with friends. With a strong passion for the ocean, Miya aspires to become a marine biologist. Her favorite vacation spot is Hawaii.
