Jewel Mendiola is a high school senior with a passion for swimming, which she has excelled in since the age of five. Along with swimming, she loves to listen to the artists SZA and Frank Ocean. Jewel’s dedication to her sport is evident in her plans to continue swimming at the collegiate level.

Outside of the pool, Jewel enjoys vacations in Hawaii and Las Vegas. As she looks ahead, Jewel sees a future in marketing, aiming to major in business. Recognizing the importance of strong communication skills, she is focused on enhancing her presenting skills and interviewing abilities through the journalism class.

In addition to her athletic and academic pursuits, Jewel is also a swim coach at the Orinda Country Club, where she shares her expertise and inspires younger swimmers.
