Senior Ellie Doane joined The Claw to continue writing and be introduced to publishing. She has been running short distances for the track team throughout high school. She also enjoys baking brownies and being a camp counselor where she feels like herself. Ellie was born in Toronto, Canada, and moved to Lafayette when she was three with her two older sisters. 

Ellie’s favorite subject is English and has enjoyed her last two years taking the class. Her passion for English is what brought her to Journalism in her final year of high school. Ellie wants to pursue a career in teaching preferably in elementary school. She is thrilled about her first year in Journalism and publishing articles for The Claw.
