Girls’ lacrosse ran up the score against non-league opponent Christian Brothers’ in a home matchup on April 10. The Cougars won 17-7.
The two teams haven’t played before. Cougar head coach Jessica Hoffschneider explained, “They are based in Sacramento. I don’t like to take my team very far on the weekdays for games because it’s just too far to travel. We’ve never scheduled a game with them because they were so far away, but this year they decided to come here.”
Christian Brothers’ coach Scott Coiner said, “Campo’s about 4 spots ahead of us in the [Northern California] rankings, so we knew it was gonna be a good game. We were hoping to be a little bit more competitive.”
Hoffschneider said, “We had really strong defense. We had a lot of speed which helped us score a bunch of goals.”
