After consecutive losses at the hands of league rivals Acalanes and Miramonte, the girls’ basketball team was able to bounce back with a strong showing against Las Lomas, defeating the Knights 64-47.
Campolindo’s strong full court defense allowed them to build a lead. The Knights had difficulty with transitions from the beginning.
According to junior Ashley Dubrasich, the team wanted to perform better on offense.
Much of their effort was spent on the defensive side of the ball. “We definitely could have scored more points,” said Dubrasich, who believed she had a stronger offensive showing and scored “more than she usually does.”
“As the season has progressed we have gotten better at working as a team, instead of having a couple people score all the points,” Dubrasich said.
