On February 28th, Campolindo’s seniors gathered in the early morning to enjoy breakfast together in the MUR. The students wore their senior shirts with pajama pants, took photos, and ate breakfast to celebrate the nearing end of their high school careers.
The food was a mix of school provided breakfast and additional items brought by parent volunteers. The breakfast buffet consisted of muffins, bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit, and more for seniors to enjoy. There was also hot chocolate among other drinks to go along with the food. The event was hosted and organized by leadership.
Senior Gia Okulicz attended the event and said “the food was really good and it was fun to socialize with friends.” During the morning she “ate pancakes and fruit with [her] friends and [they] made hot chocolate together.” For the rest of her senior year she is looking forward to “graduation and playing in senior assassins.”
“I really liked getting the opportunity to be together with all the seniors and being with all the different friend groups,” said senior Clare Baker. She felt both the breakfast and event were “really fun and the food was pretty good.” Through the last months of her high school career Baker is looking forward to, “senior privileges on the swim team like getting food first and seeing the musical for the first time.”
“I had so much fun hanging out with all my friends and spending time with the senior class,” said senior Hannah Benson. She enjoyed her breakfast with her friends and took photos for memories. Benson is excited to participate in “assassins and senior traditions” in the coming months.
Senior breakfast is a time for seniors’ to spend time with one another and make new memories as they experience their last months as Cougars. They will have many more senior events to attend and participate in throughout spring such as time of reflection, senior assassins, and senior ball leading up to May when graduation will take place.
