Whether it be weeks, months or even years, many students feel like it’s never too early to start shopping for homecoming dresses. The stress to find a dress involves online shopping in between periods, debating sparkles or sequins, and making tough choices.The chore of finding a homecoming dress is stressing people out. Some stressed out students shared their concerns about getting their homecoming dresses.
Junior Caitlin Coyle expressed her thoughts on finding a homecoming dress. Coyle stated, “I went dress shopping with my friend and I can’t find anything. I’ve been looking for the past month online, but I can’t find one. I am worried.” Coyle feels finding a homecoming dress is a long process because whether it is shopping online or in stores, finding a dress that automatically catches your eyes is rare.
Coyle is not the only one who is stressed about finding the perfect dress. Junior Sage Balducci amplifies her concerns about finding a dress. “It’s overwhelming getting the best dress because there are so many options and it’s hard to narrow it down,” said Balducci.
While these two stress about getting the perfect dress, junior Grace Getze has been ready for over a year for this upcoming homecoming. Getze stated, “I bought an extra homecoming dress last year and saved it in order to wear it for homecoming this year so I’m not worried at all about getting a dress. I’m so excited for everyone to see my dress.” Getze was aware of the stress she may face for this year’s homecoming, so she took the extra mile last year in order to sit back and relax and not worry about getting a dress. Getze already knew what she was going to want to wear for this year’s homecoming last year, and has been ready for everyone to see her dress at this year’s homecoming.
While some are all ready to walk into homecoming with their dress, sitting in their closet ready to be worn, many are on the search to find a dress that fits best for the occasion. However, the excitement mixed with anxiety will end with a happy ending where everyone has a dress to impress.
