Fall has arrived and new fashion trends are coming into effect that are flooding social media. Here are all of the tips you need in order to stay with it in this year’s fall styles at Campolindo.
Fall Crazes at Campo: Fall trends seem to bring many unique clothing styles to the table. Some of these trends may be more popular than others, as seen through school and social media. Sweater weather has turned into sweatshirts and sweatpants. Although this isn’t the most stylish fashion trend, everyone seems to wear their comfy sweats around, especially in the colder weather.
Another trend that has been seen a lot is noted by freshman Tessa Hire who is, “seeing a lot of jean skirts.” Jean skirts seem to become the new staple in wardrobes because of their ability to match with anything to make it look cute and fashionable. These skirts regained popularity during spring and summer, but are still going strong through fall.
Adidas Samba shoes are appearing all over Campolindo. This colorful trend started in the summer of 2024, and has transitioned into fall fashion. Brightly colored shoes are becoming a statement piece for some students’ outfits, bringing boldness to an outfit that may lack color.
What will stay for future fall styles: The present fall fashion trends seem to be very unique and fun. Junior Akhila Bhagavan thinks, “baggy low rise jeans” will stay along with mid length baggy jeans. This has been most people’s answer because it’s a staple in most people’s wardrobes. Its popularity has many people saying it will be here for a long time.
Another popular trend that will continue to stay in style are UGG slippers. These shoes have been a staple since the mid 2000’s, and will continue to thrive with the new looks that surround them. People have started to wear platform UGGs in addition to the well-liked style, the Classic Short Ugg Boots. They are a comforting shoe that people always buy when fall arrives.
Trends that won’t last past this fall: Fast Fashion is the main way to tell if a fashion trend will stay or die out. Animal prints are another fast fashion trend that may not last very long. Just like the 2020 cow print, cheetah print is the new craze. Everything has this print, most notably cheetah print jeans, skirts, tops, and Adidas Samba shoes.
Junior Akhila Bhagavan expressed that anything with bold patterns such as cheetah patterns aren’t going to stay for fall of 2024. Bhagavan stated, “it’s something that’s in fashion really quickly and becomes a fast fashion trend.” Like Bhagavan, junior Yun-Yun Wong shares her thoughts about the bold colors being replaced with “burgundy colors and brown suede.” These are influenced from the European style colors such as grays, and warmer reds and browns.
Predicted trends for fall of 2025: There are many trends that Campolindo students think might start up this fall. Shoes can be seen as something that should be a key part in your outfit. This fall, junior Julian Lueder predicts students will move away from the stereotypical shoes such as Jordan Dunks or Vans. Lueder thinks “people will start wearing more unique shoes” This could bring an interesting touch to outfits. More shoe trends are being predicted for this fall. Wong believes “high knee boots will really come back into style.” Although it was in trend a few years ago, Wong thinks it might come back this year.
