At brunch on March 6th, the highly-anticipated junior prom theme was revealed. In an intricately decorated gymnasium, the leadership class enthusiastically announced it to be “Santorini.” The reveal had Crumbl cookies and beautiful invitations waiting for Campo’s junior class.
Leadership plans for the venue to be decorated with an array of garden-esque decorations including replicas of some of Greece’s very own native flowers. Students should expect candle-lit displays along with ornate table arrangements and of course, a flashy dance floor.
Junior class president Refi Briskman was worried about how the theme would be received: “It’s definitely unique, and I wasn’t sure if people would like it. But from what I hear, people are happy and satisfied.”
Junior Gracie Walburg is among one of the many students excited by the long-awaited prom. “It was really thrilling to see the location and theme. The gym was really well-designed and leadership did a nice job organizing a festive reveal,” she said. The reveal has definitely heightened students’ expectations for the prom.
Prom will take place on 4/20 at Sequoyah Country Club in Oakland. This is the same location as last year’s prom, and Campo seniors are hopeful that the junior class will share a similar experience. Senior Emmie Cimperman said, “I think the juniors’ theme is super innovative this year. I think the leadership class and parent volunteers will pull off yet another fun night.”
