What Your Favorite Valentine’s Day Chocolate Says About You
With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, shoppers can’t help but notice the heart-shaped red boxes lining grocery store shelves, waiting patiently to be gifted in a classic display of romantic affection. Whether or not that special someone gifts you a chocolate box this year, it wouldn’t really feel like Valentine’s Day without enjoying a mixed chocolate or 2.
However, anyone who’s indulged in those assorted chocolate boxes knows all too well that it’s a bit of a gamble: not all chocolate is created equal, and there’s nothing more disappointing than biting into a mystery candy only to be met with a completely unfavorable flavor. If we’re being entirely honest, does anybody really enjoy liquor-flavored chocolate?
Like their heart-shaped exteriors, your chocolate preferences could very well act as a window into your soul. Using the classic See’s Candies’ lineup, here’s what your favorite Valentine’s Day chocolate says about your personality:
Chocolate Buttercream
If you grab for this classic chocolate truffle, you’re a lover of the comfortable classics. You might not be too adventurous by nature, but you’re easy-going and get along well with others. You probably enjoy comfort and security, so maybe you’ll find yourself in a committed relationship this Valentine’s Day.
Raspberry Truffle
With this iconic flavor combination, your friends love you for your inherent sweetness. You like to keep things light and fun, so you probably enjoy a good laugh, exploring new places, and are outgoing in social situations.
Milk Rum Nougat
Filled with nougat, dried fruit, and rum flavoring, anyone who loves this chocolate has arguably questionable taste. However, you know yourself well and embrace your uniqueness, so your friends will turn to you for equally introspective advice. You might like to put on a mature front for your peers, but your innermost self is youthful at heart.
Dark Salted Caramel
Perfectly sweet and salty, chocolate caramel lovers are both confident and loving, making great friends and partners. You’re often described as the life of the party, but you also know how to focus and get down to business. Even though you have set lofty goals for yourself, you also recognize the importance of balance in life.
Bordeaux
A brown sugar center coated with chocolate and sprinkles, your obvious sweet tooth is reflective of your bubbly personality. You like to mix things up, but usually don’t allow yourself too far outside of your comfort zone. This Valentine’s Day, you might enjoy a festive movie night at home with friends.
Milk Mocha
If mocha is your go-to chocolate, you’re undeniably coping with a moderately crippling caffeine addiction. You enjoy the finer things in life, with a taste for sophistication, but you also have a youthful streak when spending quality time with your closest family and friends.
Milk Almond Bud
If these clusters of almonds covered with caramel and chocolate are your #1, you’ve probably been described as an “old soul” on more than 1 occasion. You have disdain for small talk, and enjoy both insightful conversations and meaningful relationships. Because you might be old-fashioned, you enjoy vintage shopping and classic music, but also like to indulge in child-like enjoyment.
Polar Bear Paw
Comprised of salty peanuts, caramel, and white chocolate, Polar Bear Paw lovers are playful and lighthearted. You value balance, but sometimes have trouble focusing in more professional environments. However, your loved ones cherish your kindred spirit.
Coconut Cream
If this flaky coconut chocolate floats your boat, you are most definitely pining for summer break, warm weather, and long-awaited beach days. Despite your upbeat, optimistic personality, you are not 1 to be described as a morning person and drag yourself into 1st period each day.
Butterscotch Chew
A simple caramel, those who choose a butterscotch chew are simplistic and classic. You might not have the most adventurous style, but you have a passion for the classics and timelessness. You probably enjoy “oldies” music, a good novel, and may even sport a capsule wardrobe.
Molasses Chip
If your favorite chocolate is this coated honeycomb wafer, you might identify as “crunchy.” You probably enjoy hiking, farmers’ market outings, and a host of DIYs. While you might not aspire to work a corporate job, you are entrepreneurial and creative in both your personal and professional lives.
