Makayla Erickson (she/her), Staff Illustrator
Makayla Erickson, a senior at Campolindo, enjoys participating in the Campo Choir. From a young age she was fond of performing, but realized her passion for singing in high school. She loves the supportive community and fun environment that the Campo Choir provides. “If I have a day where I’m not feeling great, I will go to choir and be uplifted.” She is also very excited to participate in her final high school musical, Cinderella, in the spring.
A proud Pisces, Ravenclaw, and INTJ, Makayla is a fan of art, Broadway musicals, and playing with her pets, a terrier named Taffy and 2 chickens. She also enjoys animation and posts musical-based animatics on her YouTube channel.
Makayla has always been interested in journalism and helping with The Claw, but hasn’t had room in her schedule until this year. She is most excited to contribute to the art staff, specifically illustrations, but is also prepared and eager to contribute to the writing staff, if the opportunity arises.
