Senior Jensen Rasmussen has been passionate about ballet since a young age, training and cultivating her love of dance throughout her high school career. Currently, she dances at Contra Costa Ballet.

Over the past few summers, Rasmussen has attended summer intensive programs in cities around the country, gaining experience in pre-professional dance environments. “Having the opportunity to attend summer programs has convinced me that I want to continue dancing after I graduate. It really is an incredible experience to be surrounded by people who are equally passionate and committed to their training and the art form itself,” said Rasmussen.

She also noted how her experience as a dancer has provided her with a unique work ethic and sense of discipline, which she carries into the journalism classroom.

“Joining The Claw, I was really excited to bring a unique perspective to the class. I’ve especially enjoyed being able to use my knowledge of dance to write articles about Campolindo’s dance community and feature some of the talent here on campus,” she said. This is her 3rd year as a member of The Claw staff.
