Freshman Maddie Wilha has been playing volleyball for 5 years, starting in Texas before moving to California.
Wilha played the outside position and enjoyed “the competitiveness” of the sport. “I like being able to come together with my friends and team,” Wilha said.
In addition to volleyball, Wilha also enjoys hanging out with friends and family. “I think it’s good to build relationships,” said Wilha, adding that her favorite places are the mall and the beach.
“I’m excited to learn about writing articles in journalism,” Wilha said. “It’s something I’ve never done before, so I think it will be a good experience.”
